Thunderbrook Publishing is an independent book publisher. We provide high-quality services to help authors bridge the gap from manuscript to a finished, exceptional book.
Walking Point: A Vietnam Memoir by Robert "Bob" Kunkel is now available at Amazon.com in print and Kindle versions. Check your local library or bookstore for it (and ask for it if they don't currently carry it). See more on the Walking Point site.
Jean Doran Matua is the principal at Thunderbrook Publishing. She has decades of experience in preparing manuscripts for publication and has worked in marketing, law, and medicine improving thousands of pages for journals, grant applications, and textbooks. She currently is editor and publisher of a community weekly newspaper in central Minnesota. She has won numerous awards for writing, photography, and design, but editing is her strongest suit. Matua is multi-lingual and considers herself multi-cultural as well.
Among Matua's credentials are two bachelor degrees from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and graduate coursework at Georgetown University and Indiana University. She also has completed the Stanford Publishing Course, Institute of Newspaper Technology, Initiative Foundation community leadership training, Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association Foundation Interactive Approval Program, and the Minnesota Newspaper Association/Blandin Foundation Community Leadership Program.
Thunderbrook Publishing currently has a few other projects in the works. While we are not actively soliciting publishing projects, we are open to inquiries. Please use our contact form.
